Group hike around all or part of the Ouray Perimeter Trail. Carpool from campground and park at Ouray Visitor Center.

Full trail is a six-mile loop with 1600-feet of elevation gain. Takes 4-5 hours.

However, because this trail follows the perimeter of the town of Ouray, there are multiple exit points so you do not have to stay on the trail for the full hike. (Map below)

If you don’t want to take the full hike, Heath is a big fan of hiking from the visitor center to Cascade Falls (about 35 minutes) and then exiting the trail down 8th street to hit up the Ouray Brewery for a beer before hiking back to the visitor center to soak in the hot springs. 🥾🍻
