Jonathan left the corporate world back in 2005 to start his own web design and development shop,
FortySeven Media Over the years he’s experimented with what it takes to run a small, lean shop while finding a balance between projects that pay the bills and projects that feed your soul.
In 2015, he and his family sold their house and started traveling full-time. A year into their adventure, they fell in love with boondocking, sold everything, and started over again by
renovating a vintage Airstream for camping off-grid. During this time they began sharing their travels as
Tiny Shiny Home on
Instagram YouTube, and their
blog, growing an audience and the beginnings of a small business.
Today Jonathan still designs and builds websites by day while he and Ashley create content and products for Tiny Shiny Home by night. They still are trying to find the balance between projects that pay the bills and projects that feed their souls – in addition to adventuring and spending more time with their kids.
